The Bouse Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1981. Originally called "Concerned Residents of Bouse," it became a legal organization under the name of "Bouse Chamber of Commerce"in 1988.
In 1986 the BCOC held its first Bouse Founder's Day elebration, which has continued to be held each november since. The chamber has been helpful in making Bouse a much more interesting place to live. It manages the Bouse Museum, where volunteers keep the office open as a tourist center in the winter season. The museum Houses information and artifacts about the early community of Bouse, as well as being the unofficial custodians of Camp Bouse, where the Army secret base was in the 1940's during WWII.
The chamber sponsors special events during the year including Founder's Day, The Bouse Community Christmas Block Party and Event, and Camp Bouse Days. In 2012 the Chamber developed the Bouse Rest Area
